Apple TV 2 First Impressions
I received my brand new Apple TV 2 today and here are my first impressions after using it for a few hours.
Packaging and Hardware
To start, the packaging is phenomenal as is the usual situation for an Apple product. I am also blown away by how small and light the device is, it’s barely larger than the iPhone 4. The only other hardware in the box is the aluminum remote and the power...

You know the hotel you're staying in needs...
1) Your room smells like your Grandma’s house.
2) Your climate control consists of a combo heater/AC unit with 3 buttons: red, blue, and white.
3) You get a headache when you stare at the carpet for too long.
This just about sums up the room I’m in right now.

Checking Out Google Buzz
Just got finished setting up my Google Buzz account and profile. I have to say it’s a very nice interface. The real-time stream updates are great and the friend discovery and site import is awesome. Could be a really neat Social Media tool.

Apple reinventing file access, wireless sharing... →
Great article highlighting the new way in which the iPad will handle files, folders, and the file system in general. I especially like the idea that a user can choose to share a specific app’s documents wireless with their desktop. This makes data retention, backup, and synchronization between multiple devices much easier, especially for developers like me.

What's missing from the iPad →
I’m excited about the iPad, but I do have to agree with this article that there are some key things missing from the hardware. Two biggest things for me are:
No camera - definitely would have liked to see video conferencing.
No multitasking - if this is truly going to be a netbook/laptop replacement, how can they not support multiple tasks running at once?
What are your thoughts on the...

First tumblr Post
So it’s been a while since I’ve updated my other blog seeing that I’ve been hooked on twitter for at least a year now. Recently though, I’ve found a need to use the “long form” of a blog, i.e. > 140 characters for some random thoughts, images, pics, videos, etc. What better than to check out tumblr to setup a good spot for my blog. So far I’m very...
